Eula Beatrice Melson
Educator • Advocate • Community Servant
Eula Beatrice Melson (1950–2025) was a devoted educator, faith leader, and civic advocate whose life’s work strengthened families and empowered communities across Cincinnati. A longtime educator with Cincinnati Public Schools, she championed academic excellence and nurtured generations of students with compassion, high expectations, and unwavering belief in their potential.
For nearly four decades, Eula served faithfully at New Prospect Baptist Church, where she played a leading role in the Mental Health Ministry, offering guidance, comfort, and spiritual support to individuals and families. Her commitment to justice and community uplift extended through her active involvement in the Cincinnati NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women, the Urban League Guild, and other organizations dedicated to equity and empowerment.
